Santa's New Suit

Santa used to wear a pair of green pants and a green plaid shirt to go with them. When these wore out the elf tailors asked the fairies to look for a fabric that would wear well and be good for all weather; warm or cold.

They decided on spider silk. It is one of the strongest fibers in the world and is able to stretch 1 1/2 times it's length. It can become fluffy for warmth or thinner to keep him cool as needed.

The woven clothe is so tough it must be cut by fairies flitting along the cutting line and dissolving the fibers with their wands.

Every year apprentice elves gather white fur shed by all the forest creatures and the Arctic bears and weave it all together to form fresh fur for Santa's suit.

Santa carries a very special pocket watch given to him by his father when he took over the delivery of the toys on Christmas eve. Since Santa must deliver toys all around the world in one night  he needs a little magical help. The watch is opened, the star globe is spun, and time stands still until the star globe is spun again and time resumes from where it left off.
